Event Name: Macy’s  Shop for a Cause
Detail: Shop for a Cause is Macy’s national charity shopping day that offers the opportunity for local nonprofit organizations to raise funds in their communities. Since 2006, Shop for a Cause has helped raise more than $34 million for thousands of charity partners.
How it works: Buy a shopping pass for $5 through Carpenters.  100% of all ticket sales will go directly to support Carpenters Shelter. Redeem your shopping pass on October 16 at any Macy’s store nationwide to enjoy great savings! All customers with a shopping pass will enjoy a 20% discount on all items including clearance and sale items and will be eligible to win a $500 Macy’s gift card.

Detail: The Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Walkathon helps to raise awareness about homelessness and supports organization whose mission is to end and prevent homelessness in their communities.

• Register to walk on the national mall
