Carpenter's Shelter is located in North Alexandria on the corner of North Henry Street (Rt. 1 South, one-way) and First Street. Limited parking is available in the Shelter's parking lot, with the entrance being from First Street. Metro accessible - from the Braddock Road Metro, walk 2 blocks east on Madison St, then left on Henry St for 2 1/2 blocks. Enter the front door (on N Henry St.). All deliveries please come to the front door also. Directions from the: North: Take Rt. 1 South to Alexandria. Shortly after crossing the bridge over the Potomac Yards rail yard, Carpenter's will be on the far right corner at the intersection of North Henry Street (Rt. 1 South) and First Street. South: Take Rt. 1 North (North Patrick Street) through Alexandria. Turn left at First Street. Carpenter's will be on the far left corner at the intersection of North Henry Street (Rt. 1 South) and First Street.
