4 Easy Steps to Volunteer:

1. Orientation
   Orientations are held at Carpenter’s Shelter and topics include programs, services and current opportunities. Attendance is mandatory prior to volunteering. Upcoming orientations will be held:
   • July 14, 6-7:30pm
   • September 8, 6-7:30pm
   • October 13, 10-11:30pm
   • November 10, 6-7:30pm
   • December 8, 10-11:30pm
2. Application
   Your application will be processed and replied to within one business week.
3. Background Check
   All volunteers serving at the Shelter must have a completed Child Protective Services background check on file. Please return your completed and notarized application to the Shelter, attn: Allison Clausen
4. Sign-up
   Each month you will receive the volunteer e-newsletter outlining our needs. View current opportunities then sign-up by contacting Volunteer Coordinator, Allison Clausen, at 703.548.7500×205 or allisonclausen@carpentersshelter.org.
