Did you know WORKPLACE GIVING amounts to 12% of Carpenter's Shelter budget?
Consider participating in a Workplace Giving campaign this fall and help us grow!

  • What is a Workplace Giving Campaign?
Workplace giving campaigns are charitable solicitation programs conducted at places of employment. Most gifts are made in the form of pledges via automatic payroll deduction from paycheck, over the course of the next year or, in some cases, one-time contributions.
  • Why should I contribute to a Workplace Giving Campaign?
Because Carpenter's Shelter relies on it to stop homelessness. Giving through the workplace is a convenient, cost-effective way to support Carpenter's.
  • Employer Workplace Campaigns
Some employers have their own workplace campaigns in which you can request payroll deductions for the charity of your choice.

Here is how your payroll deduction will directly help Carpenter's Shelter:

  • $1 a week can purchase a winter coat for Mr. G., homeless and surviving on disability benefits.
  • $5 a week can purchase a nutritional after-school snack for eight year old Elizabeth.
  • A one time gift of $50 can fund an emergency utility subsidy for a family of four living in transitional housing.
  • A one time gift of $100 can fund a complete physical for an uninsured, working fifty-five year old woman.

Matching Gifts
Many employers offer a matching gifts program that matches, dollar for dollar, the contributions their employees make to not-for-profit organizations. Check with your human resources or personnel office to see if your company offers this important employee benefit.
