Carpenter’s Shelter is dedicated to offering housing and hope through our core values of respect, responsibility, and results. We provide shelter for those in time of crisis.

Since 1988, Carpenter’s Shelter has been, more than just a roof, to those in need. We’ve grown from an old warehouse into a beautiful, clean, safe, facility providing shelter and a multitude of services at our residential shelter.

Carpenter’s Shelter also provides basic services to Alexandria’s chronically homeless through our outreach center at David’s Place and operate the official winter shelter for the City of Alexandria.

Three shelters, one Carpenter’s Shelter, one mission to end homelessness.
