Even our youngest volunteers are finding fun and affective ways to contribute to our cause in helping to end homelessness! Other ideas to help include these examples: *Participants in the Shelter Helper Program designate monthly donation amounts through automatic credit card or checking account donations. It’s easy! All you need to do is call Shelli Vasser Gilliam at 703-548-7500 ext 203 and fill out a simple form, which you can also find on our website at www.carpentersshelter.org *Project Night-Night (www.projectnightnight.org) and The Pajama Program (www.pajamaprogram.org) help homeless children get a good night’s sleep by providing new, gender-and age-appropriate pajamas, blankets, stuffed animals, story books, child-sized toothbrushes and toothpastes, underwear and socks to make children feel more at home and thereby rest with ease. Please help benefit our good work through alternative giving, whether it is by donating items to a specific Carpenter’s program or selling baked goods, like our young helpers to the right, and donate your proceeds. The possibilities are endless! |
